School run

My teacher asked why I always bring my protractor to math class but measure angles with my fingers

Look, the protractor is in my pencil case. It's there. I see it every time I dig for an eraser.

But when Mr. Harrison puts that triangle on the board and asks "acute or obtuse?" — I'm not unwrapping my protractor like it's some kind of geometry ceremony.

I've got two perfectly calibrated finger-spreads. One's about 45°, one's about 90°. Close enough for government work.

Punchline

Besides, the protractor's really just there so my parents think I'm taking math seriously.
